Welcome to the Denver Broncos Hall of Fame!

Welcome to our site! We are thrilled you stopped by to check out our virtual museum. This is our first blog post on the site, and we thought we'd take the time to share a little bit about ourselves and our collections.

Denver Broncos Museum

Tom and I are lifelong Denver Broncos fans. We both grew up in the Denver area and both of us attended the University of Colorado. Broncos football has been in our blood since we were kids. Some of our fondest memories were attending Broncos football games at the old Mile High Stadium with our families when we were kids.

The 90's were the era of my childhood, and what a time it was to be a Broncos fan. John Elway and Steve Atwater were my heroes, and watching them win Super Bowl XXXII over the Packers is still one of the best moments of my life.

Tom has a few more gray hairs - his words, not mine! - so his memories of the team start with that magical 1977 season.  Cheering for the M & M connection as Broncomania took over the city transitioned into utter disbelief that the Broncos had really traded for John Elway!  There were some dark days in the 80’s  - usually centered around a Super Bowl Sunday loss - but those tough times made it all the sweeter for Tom and fans of his era when they were able to watch their beloved Broncos finally hoist the Lombardi as Super Bowl Champions!

Our passion for the Broncos extends beyond the field, as Tom and I have a passion for preserving the Broncos rich uniform history. For me, this passion began in the mid-90's, as the Broncos used to sell their game worn jerseys (yes, the ones the players actually wore in the games!) from the previous season at the team store located at Mile High Stadium. I still remember seeing the 1994 game worn Broncos jerseys for sale for $50 each when I was a 10-year old kid and thinking how cool it would be to be able to get a real jersey that was worn on the field by one of my heroes! And the more use on the jersey the better - the team repairs, tears, and paint transfers just made it look that much cooler to me. My dad wouldn't buy me one that day, but it ignited a passion that grew over time.

Over the years, we've been fortunate to accumulate a museum quality collection of game worn jerseys and helmets that span all eras of Broncos football. From the inaugural season in 1960, through the various uniform changes in the AFL era, jerseys and helmets from the Broncos eight different Super Bowl appearances, and legends all the way through the 2020's. We've focused specifically on players from the Broncos Ring of Fame, and have something from almost every member that was inducted. It's truly been a lifelong passion for us to bring this together.

Now, our passion lies in not only maintaining the rich history of the Broncos, but also sharing it with other fans. We've been working on partnering with different museums, organizations, and teams to share some of the most unique items in Broncos history. We have a year-long exhibit open that runs through September, 2024 in partnership with the History Colorado Center (you can learn more here) and we're working on another exhibit which will launch in November, 2024 as well. If you are an organization, individual, or team that would be interested in partnering with us (or just want to say hello), please feel free to reach out!
